I was that child who once gave up.

Crushed by the weight of feeling "too lazy" and "not talented enough." I closed the lid of my piano. It took six years, mandatory piano lessons as my primary subject of study in music, and encountering the most kindhearted pianist I've ever met to reignite that spark.

That's when I made a promise to my 9-year-old self: I would break the cycle.
I would find a way to teach music that ignites inspiration instead of extinguishing it.

It took me two decades, hundreds of students, and becoming a mother to change that narrative and keep my promise.
